On 24th May 2018, students` representatives of Christian University of Rwanda (CHUR) participated to Pan African Movement campaign which aimed to awake awareness of youth on Africa self reliance. This campaign took place at Petit Stade, Remera district in Kigali city.
Rosemary MBABAZI, Rwanda youth Minister who was the honor guest said that African youth, especially Rwandan has to promote made in Africa. The Minister added that African have to produce most needs that are daily used.
Tito RUTAREMARA, the Rwandan Senator said that African would not become self reliant while most products that Africans are still using in now days are manufactured overseas. “If we use a laptop computer bought from Europe believing that it is a secret, we are wrong!” He added.
Eduard BAMPORIKI, the President of “Itorero ry`igihugu” (Rwandan`s school) said that African youth have to think twice how they will rule Africa in the future. “If Rwanda is your house, what kind of color would like to paint it?’ He asked.
Students’ representatives from different universities in Rwanda and youth participating to Itorero ry`igihugu were participants of that Pan African Movement campaign.
